Ariel Winter's Family Drama Gets Uglier: Mom Targets Winter's Boyfriend Cameron Palatas

Ariel Winter's mother Chris Workman claims her 14-year-old daughter asked for a new guardian after she caught the young actress in bed with her 18-year-old boyfriend.

"My fourteen-year-old daughter has been dating an eighteen-and-a-half-year-old man, and when I caught them engaging in behavior that I feel my daughter is too young mentally and physically to understand and fully grasp I put a stop to it immediately," Workman said in a statement on Nov. 8.

Workman filed a police report citing "possible unlawful sex with a minor." She told police her daughter had been dating the young man, a legal adult, for about five months.

Workman's story has raised suspicions because she never went to cops until after she lost Ariel's custody on October 3.

Ariel, who is dating actor Cameron Palatas, has been placed under the guardianship of her older sister Shanelle Gray following allegations of physical and emotional abuse.

Workman says Ariel makes $75k per week from "Modern Family" alone ... and is concerned Shanelle will misuse the money to buy herself a new house.

Workman also claimed, Shanelle asked a judge for access to the "Modern Family" star's bank account but was shut down.

However, sources tell TMZ Shanelle never asked for a penny during the hearing. The petition for the guardianship specifically requests that all of Ariel's accounts be blocked from everyone, including Shanelle.
