Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Reach Divorce Settlement
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reached a settlement in their divorce less than two weeks after they split.
"This case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life," Katie's lawyer said in a statement Monday morning.
Tom and Katie also issued a joint statement, which reads, "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests."
No other details on the settlement were immediately available. Lawyers for both sides were in a marathon negotiation in the last few days.
Katie blindsided Tom when she filed for divorce on June 28, asking for sole legal custody of Suri.
