Rielle Hunter and John Edwards Split!
Rielle Hunter and John Edwards have called it quits, just days after she published a detailed memoir about their controversial affair.
"We are a family, but as of the end of last week John Edwards and I are no longer a couple. Not at all," Hunter told ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America."
Hunter, 48, was on the show to promote her tell-all book, "What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter and Me." The book shares intimate details of her relationship with Edwards, how they hid their affair and had a baby girl together.
At the time, Edwards' wife Elizabeth was battling cancer. She died in December 2010.
The book also reveals that Edwards had several mistresses before her, but it is also drawing ire for her harsh criticism of Edwards' wife Elizabeth. According to LATimes, the book portrays Elizabeth "as a behind-the-scenes manipulator who made her husband's life miserable and used their two young children as pawns."
