Casey Anthony Is Reading 'The Hunger Games'; Tells Piers Morgan: 'I Didn't Kill My Daughter'

On : 2012 Jun 13

Former murder suspect Casey Anthony broke her silence in a 10-minute phone interview with CNN's Piers Morgan on Tuesday, saying, "I didn't kill my daughter."

The 26-year-old Florida woman, who was acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee, maintained her innocence, telling Piers,

"Obviously, I didn't kill my daughter Caylee. There's nothing in this world I've ever been so proud of. There's no one I loved more than my daughter. She's my greatest accomplishment."

"The public perception of me is bad, absolutely horrible," Piers quoted Casey as saying. "I was a stupid kid. I've never been a 'party girl,' and I've gone through hell. I'm ashamed in many ways of the person I was."?

"I don't drink now. I've probably had a handful of beers since I've been on probation. I've never done drugs, apart from a little bit of marijuana in my early 20s," Casey added.

Casey's attorney, Cheney Mason revealed that the 'tot mom' has been keeping busy watching Three Stooges reruns and reading The Hunger Games books -- which Piers noted is about killing children.
