'The Bachelorette' Premiere Recap: Single Dad Doug Gets First Impression Rose

The eighth edition of the ever popular Bachelorette premiered last night, with 26-year-old single mother Emily Maynard meeting her 25 potential suitors.
The premiere episode recapped her moments with Bachelor Brad Womack, followed by traditional limo arrivals and the cocktail party.
Memorable moments from the men included Doug, a 33-year-old Seattle single dad who shared a touching note his 12-year-old son Austin "wrote" to Emily. The letter earned him the valuable First Impression Rose.
Tony, a 30-year-old lumber trader from Oregon, gifted Emily a Cinderella-style glass slipper. "The name's Charming, Prince Charming," he told her.
Then there was Travis, a 30-year-old advertising sales rep, who arrived with an ostrich egg. "Throughout this journey, I will take care of this egg like I will take care of you and Ricki."
Too cheasy!
Kalon, the luxury brand consultant (is it a day job or what?), arrived at the mansion in a helicopter.
Wannabe singer David wrote a song whose lyrics goes like this: "Emily. Emily. Emily."
At the end of the show, Emily narrowed the field down to 18 at the rose ceremony, eliminating six guys -- Jean-Paul, Brent, David, Jackson, Lerone and Randy.
Previews for the rest of the season are filled with lots of drama, tears, and apparent heartbreak. What are your thoughts so far? Are any of Emily's suitors at all suitable?
