'Soul Train' Creator Don Cornelius Dead From Apparent Suicide
Don Cornelius, the man behind classic 1971 - 2006 dance show Soul Train, was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, CA home this morning (February 1). He was 75 years old.
Law enforcement officials says he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department is ongoing.
"Soul Train," ran from 1971 - 2006, and Cornelius hosted the show until 1996.
