ABC News Anchor Dan Kloeffler Comes Out As Gay
Inspired by actor Zachary Quinto, who came out as gay this weekend, ABC News correspondent Dan Kloeffler came out live on air early this morning.
Kloeffler, while reporting on Quinto's decision to come out of the closet, revealed he too is gay.
Kloeffler not only came out on air, but also kinda asked out Quinto in the process.
"He's 34, I'm 35, I'm thinkin' I could lose my distraction about dating actors for that one," Kloeffler said.
"I no longer wanted to hide this part of my life," Kloeffler later explained on the ABC News website.
"As a journalist, I don't want to be the story, but as a gay man I don't want to stand silent if I can offer some inspiration or encouragement to kids that might be struggling with who they are."
