Scott MacIntyre Marries Christina Teich
"American Idol" finalist Scott MacIntyre married his longtime love Christina Teich Thursday in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The couple said "I do" in front of about 200 guests, the singer's rep confirmed to E! news.
The groom himself composed or recorded all of the music played during the ceremony including his latest single, "I Wanna Be There."
"Christina is my soul mate and the best way I know how to express my feelings for her is with a special song for this special day," MacIntyre said. "'I Wanna Be There' is about staying committed to someone through happiness, sorrow, tears and laughter. That's the relationship we have, and I'm excited to share the song at our wedding."
MacIntyre, who became the first blind "American Idol" finalist in 2009, finished eighth and released his first post-"Idol" album, "Heartstrings," last year.
The newlyweds said that they'll be honeymooning in Kauai.
