Ali and Roberto: Wedding Update
Bachelorette couple Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez won't be walking down the aisle any time soon.
One reason? Ali needs to shed off the extra pounds she gained after her knee surgery.
"Since her knee surgery in July, she has not been able to work out," says an insider. "She would like to be back in shape for the big day."
In June, Ali fractured her femur due to an osteochondral defect in her knee while kickboxing.
"We had set a date set, and everyone in the bridal party knew, but we had to postpone it because of the knee," Ali, 26, recently told Us Weekly. "I don't want to limp down the aisle! I want to dance my butt off at my wedding."
Ali also has another reason for postponing her nuptials. She "doesn't want her overshadowed by [recent Bachelorette couple] Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum. She really wants her wedding next summer."
The couple have been engaged since May 2010. Ali works as an on-air correspondent for Fox 5 San Diego. Roberto, 27, is a State Farm insurance agent.
