Bachelorette Ashley Hebert and her new fiance JP Rosenbaum appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday to talk about their engagement and their future plans.

"We have a very solid relationship. I think we compliment each other so well," Ashley explained when asked about their relationship. "He's exactly what I have been looking for - I hope I'm the same for you, babe - He's been my rock. I think that everything that happened on the season really brought us closer and we have a great foundation."

J.P. admitted that when he first went on The Bachelorette it was "completely about ego. I want to win. I want to beat all those guys."

But eventually, "You just fall for the girl," he explained. "And looking back it was definitely Hong Kong for me. There comes a point where it's no longer about beating him, but 'wow, I want to be with her.' "

As for their wedding date, J.P. explained, "Well, she's going to move to New York. She's got to finish up school at Penn. She's got to move to New York and we're going to find a place. She'll get a job and we'll get settled. And then we're going to take about a wedding maybe end of next year or fall of next year."
