Julia Roberts Lancôme Ad Banned in UK For Too Much Airbrushing

Julia Roberts' Lancôme ad has been banned by The Advertising Standards Authority in the U.K. for being too airbrushed.
A Maybelline campaign featuring Christy Turlington was also pulled.
L'Oréal Ltd., which owns both beauty brands, has been forced to pull the ads, after UK's advertising watchdog received complaints that the images were overly photoshopped, otherwise manipulated, and "not representative of the results the product could achieve."
Roberts' two-page spread for Lancôme's Teint Miracle foundation, shot by Mario Testino, shows 43-year-old actress glowing, fresh-faced and completely flawless.
L'Oreal admitted to using "post-production techniques" to create the ad, but added that the foundation was the result of 10 years worth of research.
