Ryan Phillippe & Demi Lovato: Hooking Up?

According to reports, 18-year-old teen starlet Demi Lovato is dating actor Ryan Phillippe, who is double her age.
The divorced father of three (including 2-week-old daughter Kai with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp) is 36 years old.
Isn't he a little old to be dating her?
Sources close to the two say they've been "quietly dating" over the last couple of months.
"It was really hot and heavy for a while," says a close friend, adding that Ryan's recent baby with ex-girlfriend, Alexis Knapp meant Demi wasn't sure if or how to proceed; "Until it basically happened, it kind of threw her for a loop."
However, a source tells People magazine the rumors are not true. "He's totally single."
Ryan has also been linked to actress Amanda Seyfriend recently.
