Monica and Shannon Brown Have Second Wedding
Singer Monica and Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Shannon Brown married Saturday for the second time, in a larger wedding ceremony at a downtown LA cathedral.
The couple, who secretly wed for the first time last November, exchanged vows in front of hundreds of friends and family including NBA stars Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher and Carmelo Anthony.
The bride, 30, donned a Stephan Roland gown while guests were asked to wear shades of blue to the event. The purple and blue-themed reception was planned by event planner Mindy Weiss.
Monica and Shannon, 25, met last summer when he appeared in her music video for Love All Over Me. They became engaged in October and married in a private ceremony at their Los Angeles home a month later.
Monica has two sons, Rodney Jr., 6, and Romelo, 3, with ex-fiancé Rodney "Rocko" Hill. Brown also has a son from a previous relationship.
