Elizabeth Smart Joins Good Morning America as Contributor

Kidnapping victim Elizabeth Smart is joining ABC News as a contributor focusing on missing persons stories on Good Morning America.
Smart, who was kidnapped and held captive for 9 months when she was 14, will help other kidnapping victims and their families. She will be focused on "looking ahead, not looking back at her own story," said ABC News spokesperson.
23-year-old Smart is expected to make her first TV appearance on ABC within the next few weeks.
This past May, Brian David Mitchell - the man who kidnapped Smart -- was sentenced to life without parole in federal prison.
