Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery Dating?
Scotty McCreery not only emerged as the winner of American Idol, the country singer may have also got himself a girlfriend!
Just moments after McCreery was announced the new "Idol" on Wednesday's finale, runnerup Lauren Alaina rushed to his side for a hug and planted a big kiss on his lips.
So, are these two really dating?
"I kissed him on the lips, yeah," 16-year-old Lauren said when asked if she was dating Scotty, adding "He might be my boyfriend, he might not be my boyfriend."
"They asked if we were dating and I told them to ask you!" Lauren yelled to Scotty as they both walked the press line after the show.
She then told reporters, "I'll never tell! Secret's safe with me!"
However, Scotty-- the preternaturally mature 17-year-old -- didn't try to add any fuel to the dating rumors.
"Everybody keeps asking me about the smooch," he said. "She told me she was gonna do that before the show. She's a character, isn't she?"
"We're really close friends," he added. "I don't know about the dating part. She's just being funny. She's such a sweetheart. We've grown so close. It's a special relationship we have."

I think they make an adorable couple. I would like to see them do a country duo love song!! I know that would be a hit. I am proud of them both...and big a fan of them, also. Solo or together, they are great!
