Dancing with the Stars Season 12 Winner: Hines Ward & Kym Johnson
Another season of "Dancing with the Stars" came to a close Tuesday night (May 24, 2011) with Hines Ward being crowned the winner of the mirror ball trophy.
"Starting this competition, I never thought I'd be in the finals," said Hines, "but I owe it all to Kym [Johnson]. I want to thank the judges - and all the fans."
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy came in second, while Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas ended up in the third place.
"It's the most extraordinary adventure I've ever been on in my life," Kirstie said.
Also in the results episode, The Black Eyed Peas performed their song Don't Stop the Party. The Go-Go performed as Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced with Chelsie Hightower, Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer.
