Lady Gaga on American Idol

Lady Gaga will mentor the final four American Idol contestants next week.

"I only have one word for our mentor on @AmericanIdol next week.......... Gaga," host Ryan Seacrest tweeted following last night's elimination show.

The Born This Way singer will also perform on the show's season finale (May 26).

On next Wednesday's show, the top 4 - James Durbin, Scotty McCreery, Haley Reinhart and Lauren Alaina will sing songs written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who wrote most of Elvis Presley's hits as well as Ben E. King's classic, Stand By Me.
