Lauren Alaina sang "Where You Lead, I Will Follow" on American Idol Wednesday night (April 27, 2011).

Lauren got a surprise visit from Miley Cyrus. Miley told her to "do it for yourself."

Lauren looked confident. Her voice was a little too breathy but she hit the high notes and built well into the chorus.

Steven Tyler: "When your voice broke, that's where you shined, You keep shining the way you're doing, and keep breaking like that -- that shows the character in your voice."

Jennifer Lopez: "I'm so proud of you right now. I felt you pushing, and those barriers are hard to break for performers."

Randy: "The song was safe and boring, but you came out with a vengeance."
