Jennifer Hudson, Ellen DeGeneres React to Pia Toscano's Idol Elimination

By now you know that Pia Toscano was eliminated last night (April 7, 2011) on American Idol.

Despite her stunning looks and amazing voice, the 22-year-old New York songbird was eliminated from the competition.

Pia's shocking elimination has a lot of people outraged. Celebrities including Tom Hanks, Ashton Kutcher, Ellen DeGeneres and Jennifer Hudson have taken to Twitter to express their frustration.

Pia scores a record deal, dating Mark Ballas

Hanks Tweeted: 'Don't have an Idol habit, but how could the USA vote Pia off? I may be done for the season.'

Kutcher wrote: 'Who are the people that vote on American idol? That's just crazy! That Pia girl is dope.'

Former Idol judge Ellen said she was 'shocked and sad',

Idol alumni Hudson wrote: 'I can not believe they just eliminated Pia ! ReAlly..???? As long as she walked away with that voice she will be alright! Just hate to see talent like that go!'

"What the crap?" former Idol contestant Chris Daughtry wrote. "I thought Pia was THE best singer on the show this year!"

Even Snooki took to her twitter to express shock over Pia's elimination, "Pia should have won the whole thing! I'm not watchin Idol anuymore. I'm with JLO on this one..."

It was really upsetting to see Pia go home but I don't think we've seen the last of her. She is a perfect combination of beauty and talent. She will probably get a record deal very soon.

In the meantime, the judges, Randy, Steven and Jennifer should stop acting like cheerleaders and provide constructive criticism to the contestants.
