Dancing With The Stars Recap: Week 3 April 4, Performance Videos

Dancing With The Stars brought us some strong performances and great story telling on Monday night (April 4), week 3 of the competition.

Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani kicked things off with a Foxtrot - dancing to "The DJ Saved My Life". Judge Len Goodman thought her dance was more suited to the radio.

Bruno said it was monumental. "It was like watching the Statue of Liberty at the beginning.." Carrie Ann thought she took a little step backwards this week.

Scores: 5+5+5 = 15

Next up was Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas. Chelsea picked a song her boyfriend wrote for her and took on the Cha cha cha. Their cha-cha was mostly good.

Len said it was her best dance. Bruno could feel the excitement running through her. Carrie Ann was equally impressed.

Scores: 7+8+8 = 23

Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke danced the rumba to "Let it Be," telling a sad story about his mother who passed away in 2005.

Len said some parts were excellent but he lost fluidity throughout his upper arms. Bruno said it was a good job overall. Carrie Ann loved the beautiful tribute to his mom.

Scores: 7+7+7 = 21

Sexy stuff from Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel who danced the rumba to "You And Me". The song is about her marriage and husband, football player Hank.

Len praised her leg action. Bruno found it "hot and arousing." Carrie Ann called it hot and said,"Every movement was grounded."

Then there were Romeo and Chelsie Hightower. The pair danced the Rumba to "I'll Be There" . Romeo dedicated his performnace to two cousins he lost.

Len said it was a huge step back. Bruno thought his leg placement wasn't quite right but loved the fact that he put his heart and soul into it. Carrie Ann felt he was emotionally committed to the performance.

Scores: 7+6+7 = 20

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson danced the samba to "Fantasy" -- his mom's favorite song. Hines put forward an impressive performance.

Len praised him. Bruno said, "Two for the price of one ..butt shaking happy hour." (I have no idea what that means!) Carrie Ann said he danced the samba, like he has been dancing his whole life.

Scores: 9+8+8 = 25

Petra Nemcova told a story about the first time she visited Thailand after the Tsunami. Petra and Dmitry Chaplin danced the waltz to "You Raise Me Up" with grace and elegance. It was a beautiful performance from Petra. All the three judges were impressed. Bruno said she was like a vision from heaven, and danced like an angel.

Scores: 8+9+8 = 25

Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya danced the paso doble to "My Prerogative". The judges saw a lot of improvement in Sugar Ray's performance.

Scores: 7+6+7 = 20

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Rumba to "Over the Rainbow" -- it was about an accident that took the life of her mother.

Carrie Ann thought Kirstie did a wonderful job. "Sometimes tragedy leads to amazingly beautiful moments," she added.

Scores: 7+7+7= 21

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff danced the "Rumba" to "Stay Gold" -- a song from his first film "The Outsiders".

Ralph seemed stiff and more focused on counting his steps. Len said it was crisp and it was clear, but it needed a bit of refinement. Carrie Ann called it a sweet performance.

Scores: 7+7+7 = 21

Another star goes home tomorrow! Who should it be?
