DJ Megatron aka Corey McGriff Shot Dead
DJ Megatron, born Corey McGriff, was found dead on Sunday morning near his home on Staten Island, New York City.
The 32-year-old BET host and radio personality was reportedly shot around 2am while walking to a local store to buy a cigar, a close friend said. The killer fired a single shot into his torso, cops said. No arrests have been made in the shooting.
Megatron was a regular on BET's "106 & Park." He also played a small role in the movie Killa Season. Before working at BET, he was a DJ at New York's best radio station, Hot 97.
Megatron is survived by his three children.
