Steve Nash and Alejandra Amarilla Announce Son's Birth, Divorce
Hours after the birth of their third child, NBA star Steve Nash and Alejandra Amarilla announced the couple is divorcing.
Steve Nash and his wife of five years, Alejandra Amarilla welcomed their third child, a son named Matteo Nash, on Nov. 12.
"I am very thankful and excited that we have a new son, Matteo Nash," Steve said in a statement to Life and Style magazine on Friday. "Alejandra and the baby are doing fine. But this is a bittersweet moment for my wife and I; after five years, we are now in the process of dissolving our marriage. While we have lived separately for the past several months, we remain firmly committed to raising our children in the most positive, nurturing way possible."
Steve and Alejandra were together for nine years and married in 2005. In addition to new son Matteo Joel Nash, they have two daughters, six-year-old twins Lola and Bella, who were born in 2004.
