Emma Watson Worth $32 Million
Harry Potter star Emma Watson felt "sick, very emotional" when she found out, aged 17, that she was worth $32 million.
In the December issue of British Vogue, Emma says she was shocked to learn about her Harry Potter fortune as she recalls a "money conversation" with her dad when she was 17. Until then, Emma was receiving an allowance of about $75 per week.
"By the third or fourth film, the money was starting to get. serious. I had no idea. I felt sick, very emotional."
To learn how to handle her millions, Emma enrolled in a money management class at exclusive British bank, Coutts. But she says she's hardly touched her money. She chose instead to live in student digs while studying at Brown University in Rhode Island.
Emma also talked about her new elfin hairdo, revealing,
"For the nine years I was on Harry Potter I was contractually obliged not to cut my hair, not to tan. All the normal things girls do, I couldn't. So when I got the chance to change my appearance, this is what I did."
