BMX star and host of MTV's "The Challenge" T.J. Lavin is in a medically induced coma after crashing his bike at a BMX event in Las Vegas Thursday night, TMZ reports.

Lavin, 33, was competing in a Dew Tour event in Las Vegas when he hit a dirt ramp, lost control of his bike and hit the ground hard.

Lavin was rushed to the hospital where he was placed into a medically induced coma. He condition is said to be critical.

Here's hoping Lavin has a full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lavin and his family.
