Transformers 3 Car Crash Video, Bumblebee Slams Into Cop Car in Unscripted Crash
The filming of Transformers 3 suffered an unscripted accident yesterday, when a cop car collided with a yellow Chevy Camaro - doubling for Autobot hero Bumblebee.
The third installment of the Transformers franchise was filming a car chase scene on 3rd Street and Maryland Ave in southwest D.C. when the police SUV, that was on way to an emergency call, drove through the set and collided with the stunt car.
The area of the Washington Mall had been closed for filming, but the cops apparently had their radio frequencies mixed up.
The stunt driver was unharmed but the officer was treated at the hospital and sustained minor injuries.
This crash is the second major accident to happen during production of the sequel. Last month, an extra suffered brain damage when a tow cable snapped during shooting in Indiana, temporarily halting production.
