Sarah Palin DWTS Boo-Gate Explained (Video)
There was widespread speculation that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was booed on Monday's Dancing With the Stars.
During Tuesday night's results show, DWTS host Tom Bergeron jokingly referred to it as "Boo-Gate", and explained that the jeers were actually directed at the judges and not at Palin.
On Monday's episode, the studio audience was heard loudly booing something off-camera, just before the camera cut to host Tom next to Sarah Palin.
Tom explained that the booing erupted after Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough finished their dance and all three judges awarded them 8s. The crowd apparently felt Grey's efforts were worth more from the judges.
"Sarah Palin told me before the show she was booing them, too," Tom joked.
Tom said the "boo-gate" reports heated up so much that "DWTS" felt compelled to address them on Tuesday night's show. Viewers were also treated to the above footage "that was never intended to air."
