Giovana Huidobro Photos : Alleged Mistress of Jesse Jackson, Jr

Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr is being accused of carrying on a relationship with a woman named Giovanna Huidobro, who works at a Washington D.C. restaurant.

Giovana Huidobro is a restaurant hostess and former bikini model. Jackson, Jr apparently asked asked fund-raiser, Raghuveer Nayak to pay to fly Giovana Huidobro - described as a "social acquaintance" - to Chicago to visit him on a few occasions.

Jackson, Jr said Tuesday he is "deeply sorry" for having "disappointed some supporters."

"The reference to a social acquaintance is a private and personal matter between me and my wife that was handled some time ago," Jackson said in his statement. "I ask that you respect our privacy."

Jackson and his wife Sandi Jackson (formerly Sandra Lee Stevens) have been married since 1991 and have two children - Jesse III (Tre) and Jessica.

In 2001, it was revealed that Jackson's father, civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. also had an extramarital affair with a woman named Karin Stanford.
