Kirsten Gillibrand Hottest Member of Senate - Ranks Harry Reid

Sen. Harry Reid called New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand as the Senate's "hottest member" during a fundraiser last night.

"We in the Senate refer to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand as the hottest member," Reid told a crowd that included the blond mother of two.

The comment prompted her to blush noticeably and caused a stir in the crowd.

Reid spokesman told POLITICO, "What can I say, she made The Hilll's 'Most Beautiful list. Of course he also went on to praise her skill and tenacity and described her as an effective member of the New York delegation as well."

Reid has been on a saying-uncomfortable-things rampage these days! Last week, he referred to Democratic Delaware Senate candidate Chris Coons as his "pet."
