Lina Morgana Photos & Video, Woman Claims Lady Gaga Stole Her Daughter's Soul

On : 2010 Sep 09

The mother of a young singer Lina Morgana, who committed suicide at age 19, claims Lady Gaga stole her daughter's dark, edgy style and wants Gaga to acknowledge her late daughter's contributions.

Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) collaborated with the late aspiring singer Lina Morgana in 2007. The pair co-wrote and recorded several songs together that were never released.

The youngster took her own life in October 2008 by jumping from 10-story hotel on Staten Island. Now her mother Yana Morgana is seeking the rights to release the songs her daughter recorded with Gaga.

Not only that, but Yana, a Russian immigrant, also believes Gaga is holding on to Lina's soul.

"I'm doing this because I want to keep her spirit alive," Yana, 41, told Page Six. "Lady Gaga is holding Lina's soul, and I want her soul to be free."

"Every other word she says is from Lina. She talks about having a dark and tragic life, but she had everything she wanted in the world. She went to [the same] high school as Nicky Hilton, her parents were rich. But Lina did have a tough life, and she often talked about her tragic life," Yana said.

The grieving mother also showed pictures of Lina - posing in bikinis, lingerie, outlandish wigs and thigh-high boots.

"Lina had that style. Gaga had a different style. She changed dramatically overnight," Yana said.

Check out photos and a video of Lina Morgana. What do you think? Is Lady Gaga a copycat?
