Lisa De Vanna Facebook Photos Spark Outrage
Australian soccer player Lisa De Vanna is in hot water after posting sexually suggestive photos on her Facebook profile. The photos showed 25-year-old De Vanna in a series of lewd poses.
Lisa De Vanna was asked to remove the controversial photos and have her Facebook page set to private after a young fan's mother complained to the Football Federation of Australia.
The mother of a 13-year-old soccer fan said,
"I wouldn't want my daughter to follow the Matildas and Lisa after seeing these images. These girls aren't role models at all they are an embarrassment to themselves and their sport."
"I'm distraught that these are images of athletes my daughter aspires to be like and looks up to."
A spokesman for the FFA said the Federation was investigating whether De Vanna had breached the FFA Code of Conduct.
Lisa De Vanna represented Australia at the 2010 AFC Women's Asian Cups.
