Teresa Giudice Spending Spree After Filing Bankruptcy

Teresa Giudice

Just days after filing for bankruptcy, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and husband Joe Giudice went on a shopping spree, spending $60,000 on curtains, wall hangings, tables and chairs!

The New York Post reports, "receipts show that within days of filing to wipe out their multimillion-dollar debt, the Giudices blew $8,800 for curtains and nearly $45,000 on wall hangings, mirrors, frames, tables, urns and chairs."

However, shopaholic Teresa insists that there wasn't anything wrong with her post-bankruptcy shopping spree.

Teresa's attorney explains that the $60,000 that Teresa spent was earned after she had filed for bankruptcy, and therefore she was free to spend the money. The attorney said,

She needed to re-buy furniture because she didn't have any furniture in the house. It's a big house and she wanted furniture consistent with her style on the show. There is nothing wrong with doing that, except that it doesn't look good for her to be doing it.

Teresa's spending spree came to light earlier this week when she and husband Joe tried to convince a judge to cancel a planned August 22nd auction of the contents of their Towaco mansion. The judge refused to stop the auction, but postponed it until Oct. 3.

Hubby Joe was none to happy following the hearing yesterday. Barely able to contain his temper with media, he snapped, "None of your business! Back off before I get pissed!"

Teresa and her hubby Joe filed for bankruptcy in October, 2009 after racking up $11 million in debt.

Now that's some funny sheet! Poor Teresa is broke! Hahaha!

So they file bankruptcy to get out of $11 million in debt that they created only to turn around and spend 53,800 dollars to buy curtains and wall decorations to keep up with her style on the show? Here’s an idea…why not pay that money to the debt you racked up? They spent/borrowed all that money for their fancy lifestyle and now they don’t want to pay it back? They’re a bunch of thieves and should be thrown in jail for stealing! I can only hope their house gets taken away also!

Maybe next time she’ll sink her claws into someone with a lot more money that broke arse Joe claimed to have! You both deserve to lose everything you bunch of broke arse biotches!

You file bankruptcy for 10.8 million dollars and you go out and blow $60,000 on furniture! This is ridiculous. It doesn’t matter if it’s technically legal or whatever — it’s not ethical.

They continue to spend money they do not have!! This is the kind of thinking that has this whole country in trouble now.

Do I have to bail her out too? I might have to get a fifth job.

I just feel sorry for her children having such trashy parents, too bad they couldn't file to get those taken away from them!

I doesn't look like either of them are too bright.  They come across as being a couple of douches.  GAG me!

I used to watch the show, but now I will never again.  These people are crazy, careless and stupid.  It makes me mad to see that people can spend so much money and file bankruptcy.  I am not impressed and will not continue to watch.  Hopefully, Theresa will be fired too!
