Dina Lohan Blames Judge, Lindsay Lohan Moving To NYC

On : 2010 Aug 13

Lindsay Lohan's mom, Dina Lohan sat down for an interview with The TODAY Show's Matt Lauer this morning, August 13.

Dina defended the behavior of her famous daughter while placing the blame on judge Marsha Revel, who sentenced Lindsay to jail.

"The judge played serious hardball," she told Lauer. "I'm not condoning drinking and driving, but she's still paying the price for what she did in 2007."

"She violated... actually, didn't violate... she was in for missing a couple of classes that she made up, and she was working at the time. The judge went overboard and put her in serious lockdown for two weeks," said Dina, 47.

Lindsay Lohan served 13 days of her 90-day jail sentence and could possibly be released early from rehab.

Dina said Lindsay is doing "wonderfully" in court-ordered rehab and will be moving to New York after she's released from rehab.

Dina said Lindsay has no problem with drugs or alcohol -- and all her issues can be blamed on "tabloids." "Somebody goes to rehab to rehabilitate themselves, but you're looking at it from what you're reading. It is a completely different dynamic.... When you meet her and you see my child... it's blown out of proportion," she said.

Do you think jail and rehab have helped Lindsay Lohan?
