Rock star Sting and his wife Trudie Styler have opened a new organic shop called Tenuta il Palagio, which will sell produce raised on their Italian estate.

The couple will be selling organic olive oil, wine, acacia honey and a speciality salami which is made from a local breed of pig - all grown and farmed on their 900-acre Il Palagio estate. Until now their produce has been directly shipped to outlets in the U.S. and Britain.

Sting and his wife have spent most of the last 13 years in the Tuscan estate, which boasts a large villa with a swimming pool, a wood with six small lakes, vineyards, olive groves and an old barn converted into a recording studio.

Around 15 people work on the estate, which is located south-east of Florence.

Last year, Sting launched his first-ever red wines - a Chianti and a Toscana made from Sangiovese grapes grown on the estate.
