Melissa Rycroft Pregnant!
Melissa Rycroft is pregnant! The former 'Bachelor' contestant and her husband Tye Strickland are expecting their first child together.
"It was a shock. We weren't even trying. It's the most wonderful surprise in the world. It's such a blessing."" says Rycroft-Strickland, who married insurance agent Tye Strickland in December after being publicly dumped by Jason Mesnick on 'The Bachelor' in 2009.
Melissa, who appeared on 'Dancing With the Stars' and will co-host ABC's 'Bachelor Pad' in August, says starting a family was the last thing on her mind. "[Tye] wanted the kids right away, and I was laughing at him going, 'No, not ready!'" she tells UsWeekly.
The two recently purchased a home near Dallas. Melissa says she's hoping for a boy, and he wants a girl. "We're going to find out as soon as we can," she says.
The 27-year-old mom-to-be jokes that she's "eating everything in sight" and craving no-nos like sushi and sub sandwiches.
"Knowing me, I'm going to swell and gain 90 pounds," she says. "But it's not about me anymore!"
