Seattle Cop Punches Woman (Video)
A Seattle cop is under fire after he was caught on tape punching a young woman in the face during a scuffle.
The video shows a police officer trying to arrest 19-year-old Marilyn Levias. As the officer was handcuffing Levias, a 17-year-old friend of Levias' pushed the officer, who then responds by punching her in the face.
Investigators in Seattle are reviewing the incident. "He did nothing wrong," police union president Rich O'Neill said, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. "If anything, I think he maybe waited a little too long to engage in force because I think he was trying to defuse the situation."
But "it was obvious from the audio anyway of the two individuals that they were not going to be calmed down."
