Woman Sues Google Over Directions

A California woman is suing Google after she was hit by a car while following walking directions on her BlackBerry provided by Google Maps.

Lauren Rosenberg claims Google maps have instructed her to walk along a rural road which does not have sidewalks and pedestrian paths.

When accessed from a PC, Google Maps issues a warning about its walking directions, saying: "Use caution -- This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths." However, the warning does not appear on cell phones or PDAs.
