Five months after Brittany Murphy's untimely death, her husband Simon Monjack was found dead at his Los Angeles home on Sunday.

The 39-year-old British screenwriter died at the Hollywood Hills home he shared with Brittany and her mother Sharon. According to reports, Sharon discovered Simon's body and called 911 around 9:30 p.m. last night.

The preliminary cause of the death is natural causes, police spokesman Sgt. Louie Lozano told The Associated Press.

Brittany died on Dec. 20, after going into sudden cardiac arrest because of "drug intake," according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Her death was ruled accidental, the result of pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple drug intoxication.
