Seriously, where else could this possibly happen?

A humanoid robot named I-Fairy conducted a wedding ceremony between humans in Japan Sunday.

The wedding took place at a restaurant in Hibiya Park in central Tokyo where the 4-foot tall seated robot led the ceremony wearing a wreath of flowers.

"It would be nice if the robot was a bit more clever, but she is very good at expressing herself," said groom Tomohiro Shibata, 42, a professor of robotics. The bride Satoko Inoue, 36, works at Kokoro, who manufactured the robot.

Wedding day is the most important day not only for the bride and groom, but also for their parents. One gets goose bumps thinking about the wedding night. Are the arrangements fine? Will everything happen as planned? Is everything in order? These are few of the many questions that bother the couple’s family.

I-Fairy is a great innovation. This is very appropriate in countries like Japan. It can be very controversial for countries that are heavily populated by Catholics or Muslims.
