Russell Crowe Storms Out of Interview (Video)

On : 2010 May 14

Russell Crowe, who's been promoting Robin Hood at the Cannes Film Festival, stormed out of an interview with the BBC when host Mark Lawson said he heard hints of Irish in his accent on screen.

"You've got dead ears, mate," Crowe, 46, said, "seriously dead ears if you think there's an Irish accent."

"I'm a little dumbfounded you could possibly find any Irish in that character," he continued, after rambling a few minutes about Robin Hood's background. "That's kind of ridiculous, but it's your show."

When Lawson asked Crowe if the accent was supposed to be northern English, Crowe replied, "No I was going for an Italian, yeah. Missed it? F*** me. Anyway"

But the final straw came when Lawson asked a question referring to Crowe's last movie, Gladiator. The actor took off his mic and walked out saying, "I don't get the Irish thing by the way."
