Larry King Files For Divorce From Shawn Southwick King

CNN's Larry King filed for divorce on Wednesday from his seventh wife, Shawn Southwick King, after nearly 13 years of marriage.

A rep for King tells ET, "Larry's major [concerns] are his kids and their well being."

In the divorce papers, King, 76, cites irreconcilable differences for the split. He is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the couple's two sons, Chance Armstrong, 11, and Cannon Edward, 9.

He also requests that attorney fees be paid by Shawn, 50, and he asks that the court not grant her spousal support.

The couple have had their rough patches in the past. Rumors of a troubled marriage began back in 2007 after they were reportedly involved in public screaming match in Beverly Hills - during which Shawn ran out and down the street, with Larry yelling as he ran after her.

Back in December, The National Enquirer claimed Larry had an affair with his wife Shawn Southwick's younger sister Shannon Engemann (see photos below). The Enquirer also claimed Shawn cheated on Larry with Hector Penate, a B-list actor who serves as their son's baseball coach. According to their sources, Larry's clandestine affair triggered Shawn's relationship with Penate. (See a photo of Hector Penate.)

Larry has been married eight times to seven different women - he married and divorced the same woman, Alene Aknis, twice.
