Elizabeth Taylor : Engagement Reports Not True
Rumors are flying that Elizabeth Taylor is engaged to her longtime companion Jason Winters, but is she really ready to tie the knot with husband number eight?
"The rumors regarding my engagement simply aren't true. Jason is my manager and dearest friend. I love him with all my heart," the 78-year-old took to her twitter to dispel the rumors.
Taylor and Jason Winters, 49, of Sterling Winters Management, have appeared at numerous events together in recent years.
In 2007, British papers reported that Taylor and Winters took a romantic vacation at a Hawaiian resort. Taylor spent "the evening caressing the face of [Winters]."
At the time, the paper quoted a source as saying of the legend: "She didn't think she'd fall in love again, but since Jason came into her life that has all changed."
Taylor, who now predominantly uses a wheelchair, has gushed about Winters describing him as "one of the most wonderful men I've ever known, that's why I love him."
The Oscar-winning star has been married eight times -- twice to the late Richard Burton. Her last marriage, to Larry Fortensky, ended in 1996.
