On American Idol, Casey James made the ladies - especially Kara DioGuardi, swoon over his good looks, but the long-haired rocker doesn't consider himself a heartthrob, says Casey James' ex-wife Kellie James.

In an interview, Casey's ex-wife Kellie James, 31, tells The National Enquirer,

"Music is everything to Casey. He just does what he loves to do, which is music, but he's never thought of himself as a heartthrob. Frankly, I think it embarrasses him."

Kellie, a respiratory therapist, was married to the singer-songwriter from 2005 to 2008. She says his drive for success put stress on their relationship, and in the end it cost them their marriage.

Casey, 27, has a criminal background and has served time in county jail following offenses of driving while intoxicated, driving with an invalid license and reckless driving (Mugshot below).

Kellie says he'd settled down by the time they met at Leaning Tree Church in Mineral Wells, Texas.

"It's a very contemporary church, and Casey gravitated toward the musical people in the congregation. Eventually, he played and sang in the praise-and-worship band," Kellie said.

"Church is still very important to him, and he plays music for a congregation in Fort Worth, where he lives now," she added.

 I understand that their relationship broke up because he love doing music. I think that he needs other type of women that is dedicated to the music or other kind of art. Casey is very handsome and although he never thought of himself as hearttrob, he will break the hearts of many women when he is famous.

I love Casey! I will follow his music career. Why no pix of his ex?  We'd love to see what kind of women he is attracted to. I hope it's NOT the disgusting pictures on GOOGLE images of ugly skanks with big boobs when you search CASEY JAMES! Disgusting and nasty!  I hope it's NOT KARA! She's to busy rubbing herself all over Simon! There's so much sexual tension there that they need to get a room!! :(> Gross!

Casey IS A STAR!!! It won't be long before  he has a hit song that becomes #1 and I WILL BUY HIS RECORDS!He has a voice that you don't get tired listening to.It's very soothing. I would go to see him in concert. He is an entertainer. I love Carrie Underwood too, and I think he will become as famous  or more famous than her.  He has the "IT" factor!

I adore Casey and respect him for what he has become. I wish I lived in Texas so I could go to his church. My grandaughter, 16, plays guitar and sings in her church, which we've recently started
to attend. I think of Casey every Sunday morning during the praise and singing, which she helps lead. He won my heart during American Idol and the more I read about him the more I like him. I'm a lifelong fan and I'm about to turn 70.
