Marie Osmond's Son Michael Blosil Commits Suicide

Marie Osmond's teenaged son, Michael Blosil has commited suicide by jumping from his apartment building around 9 p.m. Friday in Los Angeles.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Michael, 18, left a note explaining he intended to commit suicide due to his life-long battle with severe depression that left him, he said, feeling as if he had no friends and could never fit in.

Michael is one of eight children Osmond has raised with her second ex-husband Brian Blosil. Osmond and Blosil split in 2007 after 20 years of marriage. Five of their eight kids were adopted, including Michael.

In 2006, the National Enquirer reported that Osmond had attempted suicide herself, but her reps denied the reports.

Contacted by phone this morning Donny Osmond told ET: "Please pray for my sister and her family."

Very sad. Suicide is never the answer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Osmond family.

RIP Michael Blosil.
