Paris Hilton Beer Ad Too Hot For Brazil
Paris Hilton's new ad for Devassa beer is causing a stir in Brazil. The ad shows Paris in a short black dress rubbing a can of Devassa beer on herself.
Throughout the ad Paris is fully clothed, but apparently in the land topless beaches, it could be perceived as offensive to women.
"It's an ad that devalues women - in particular, blonde women," a spokeswoman for the women's secretariat told press, "The problem with the ad isn't a lack of clothing, but its sensual nature. A woman in a bikini on a beach isn't necessarily sensual; it depends on the context."
Brazil's in-house advertising regulatory agency Conar is conducting investigation into whether Hilton's beer ad violates the country's advertising codes.
