Rihanna just got a new tattoo!

The Rated R singer hit up her favorite NYC tattoo parlor East Side Ink last night and had her personal motto inked just below her collarbone.

"She came in at about 2:00 A.M.," tattoo artist Bang Bang tells OK!. "She told me in advance she'd be coming, and then when she got there, she told me what she wanted: 'Never a failure, always a lesson,' but written backwards."
