Alexandra Forbes Kerry Arrested For DUI
U.S. Senator and former presidential candidate John Kerry's daughter, Alexandra Forbes Kerry was arrested Thursday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
Alexandra, a 36-year-old film producer and director, was pulled over in Hollywood for a traffic violation and was arrested for DUI after a field sobriety test. She was released on $5,000 bail.
According to TMZ, Kerry's blood alcohol was .06, just below the .08 legal limit. Under California law a driver can still be prosecuted, even under .08, if the vehicle is being operated unsafely due to alcohol.
Alexandra Kerry is an independent filmmaker. She has produced documentaries and has had several small acting roles. She raised eyebrows in 2004 with a red carpet appearance in a see-through gown (photo below) at the Cannes film festival.
