7-month-old Baby Survives Spins in Washing Machine
A 7-month-old baby is said to be doing fine after a soapy spin in a washing machine in D'Iberville, Miss.
Mom Irazu Hernandez was doing the laundry Nov 10. when the baby crawled into the washing machine and his 4 year old brother shut the door.
The washer had already been loaded with soap and quarters, so, it started up after the door was shut.
The mother freaked when she realized what happened. She ran for help in a nearby restaurant and it took three men to pry the door open.
Officials suspect the baby was in the washing machine for nearly 1 minute.
When they finally managed to get the baby out, they said the baby was purple, bruised and bleeding. The baby was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
No charges are expected to be filed against the parents because police believe it was an accident.
