Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson is trying to obtain a stipend from the late singer's estate!

According to court documents filed by Joe Jackson in Los Angeles on Friday, the 81-year-old is seeking a stipend from his son's estate to cover his extravagant $15,000 a month lifestyle.

Joe claims Michael's estate has "earned more than $100 million dollars in the first seven (7) weeks following Michael Jackson's death" and is "well able to afford a family allowance for Joe Jackson."

The filing does not specify the exact amount Joe Jackson is seeking, but Joe says he has $15,425 in total monthly expenses, including the following:

-- $2,500 eating out
-- $2,000 in air travel
-- $3,000 in hotel bills
-- $1,000 in groceries
-- $1,200 in rent
-- $50 in charitable contributions

As you may recall, Joe was not named in MJ's 2002 will. The two had an often-rocky relationship, and Michael said at one point that he would get physically sick - as a child and as an adult - at the sight of his father.

MJ named his mother as guardian of his three children and a beneficiary of a family trust set up by his will. A judge has approved more than $26,000 in payments to Katherine Jackson each month, and a $60,000 monthly payment for the care of Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson.
