Larry Johnson Apologizes, Larry Johnson Twitter Slur

Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson issued an apology on Tuesday for using gay slur.

Larry - who was indefinitely suspended by the NFL on Tuesday - hurled the "homophobic f-bomb" at reporters in the Chiefs' locker room. He also used the slur on his Twitter account.

On Sunday, he took to his twitter account to slam coach Todd Haley after the Chiefs 37-7 loss to the San Diego Chargers. He called a twitter follower - "Christopher street boy."

Christopher Street is a street in the West Village gay neighborhood of Manhattan.

Larry issued an apology, saying he made his comments out of frustration.

"First of all, I want to apologize to the fans of the Kansas City Chiefs and the rest of the NFL, commissioner Goodell, the Chiefs organization, coach Todd Haley, his staff, and my team-mates for the words I used yesterday," the statement read.

"I regret my actions. The words were used by me in frustration, and they were not appropriate.I did not intend to offend anyone, but that is no excuse for what I said."
