Greg Smith Praying Robber Video

Greg Smith - the praying robber, as he has come to be known, is the guy who went into a check cashing store with the intention to rob it, but had a change of heart and ended up praying with his victim.

23-year-old Greg Smith was attempting to steal from a store in Indianapolis last week when the female clerk Angela Montez began to cry and pray.

Amazingly, the armed robber got on his knees and prayed together with Montez.

He said he had a two-year-old son to support and asked Montez to pray with him so that he could overcome his struggles.

The praying robber even took the bullet out of the gun and gave it to her saying it was the only bullet in the weapon and that he would not hurt her.

Before leaving, he took her cell phone and 20 bucks from the register.

He turned himself into the cops a few hours later.

During an interview with 24-Hour News 8, Greg said he has been praying for forgiveness and will never rob anyone again.

Greg said he graduated from Ben Davis High School and is a licensed heating and air technician and served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He had been unemployed for over a year.

He remains in the Marion County Jail.

 My heart goes out to the young lady,and the fear
she must had gone through. 'God work in misterous
ways and wonders he performes' That was a mircle
you watched on that vedio. Mr. Smith is not a creminal he is a product of what we are putting this country in. We send our young men to war and when they return, they are tossed aside like yesterdays garbage. They are told they are men while they are in service, when they get home they are tossd aside. I prey some one will come to his defense and give him a chance to show his child he can be a dad.

What he did was wrong but two wrongs dont make a
right.

God has spoken he showed that he was not a bad person but a person that did a bad thing, but God

i know this girl personaly she is truley a victim she did not recieve any money for the interviews she did, she lost pay while off work,lost her home and had to move and said it was not about money that her faith is what got her thru this,people have set up donation sites and things for the robber but nothing for the victim. all the focus was on the robber but she is the one that spoke to him about god, although she still works for this company ( to make ends meet ) she still has fear in her heart that she never had before. how does this happen????
